After eleven years of operating my own firm and staff, I have decided to merge my company with CFO Systems, LLC.
Like most things in life, events happen to you when you least expect it. In this case, the opportunity to merge with this nationwide Fractional CFO firm was too good to pass. An Inc 5000 fastest-growing company since 2014, Brett Frevert and his team of directors have been industry leaders in this space for over twenty years. The firm’s reputation speaks for itself; and I have known Brett since I started AcceleratingCFO. We have corresponded regularly throughout the years, discussing business, life philosophy, and college baseball, and have collaborated on a few projects as well. I have grown to respect him and his firm tremendously.
More recently, when I began to have conversations with the senior management team at CFO Systems, I realized what a talented leadership team Brett had truly assembled. Throughout my discussions with team members over the past few months, they repeatedly echoed the core values of the firm:

– Get It Done
– Team
– Truth and Transparency
These are not just words for us — but rather a way to live our lives.
If a client is thinking of selling his or her business and staying on, I’ve always emphasized the importance of being aligned with the goals and objectives of the person buying the company. This is the first time I’ve had to take my own advice and evaluate the goodness of fit between me, AcceleratingCFO, and CFO Systems. But as I thought about the pros and cons of joining CFO Systems, I kept coming back to the four core values listed above — as they are also my values.
It is one thing to say the words, but it is another to actually implement these values into your work process. I have always been genuine with my clients, and I am happy to say that me and my team will continue to do things “the AcceleratingCFO way” as that is also the CFO Systems way!
Although the AcceleratingCFO name will phase out as a brand name, the spirit of what we stand for will only expand as we become the New York and Florida offices as part of the CFO Systems umbrella. I am more energized than ever to continue my quest to provide the highest level of CFO services to the small, medium business company. Only now I have greater resources and infrastructure behind me as well as a direct line to colleagues across the country — 19 states and counting.
It has been an honor and a privilege to work with the many clients and colleagues as the managing partner of AcceleratingCFO.
